How we rebuilt a donated PC into a Proxmox-based sandbox for testing Linux distros, running open-weight LLMs, and creating disposable VM environments accessible through Tailscale or future one-click web buttons.

In July 2025, we started running weekly discussions on the intersection Linux and AI titled LAIT Night: Linux & AI Tuesday Chats. Great conversations were had every week, with participants discovering new AI tools and LLM's that focused that were open source and/or open weight.

What a special day filled with great conversations about the importance of open source in regional Australia.
